Hotel Post in Aschheim
Tassilo and Florian
New event rooms
Munich
Sep 2021 – Aug 2022
Building in the existing fabric is the most sustainable measure a builder can take. The effort of setting the old substance to zero in order to then implement a complete new construction costs time and money, but saves the planet. In the Hotel Post in Aschheim, this aspect was implemented in an exemplary manner in the 1970s part of the building on the ground floor. The result is variable event rooms that can be combined with each other or used separately. The direct connection of the larger, divisible Tassilosaal to the outdoor terrace extends its use. The smaller Florian hall can be added or booked separately for conferences.
All materials used are of high quality: clay plaster on the ceiling and walls, real wood parquet and natural stone for the floor coverings inside and outside, wall panelling and real wood doors with ornaments at the hall entrances as eye-catchers.
The design with the historic zigzag comb plaster and the high-quality half-timbered luminous ceiling quote the rural environment and the existing style of the country inn including hotel. The lighting concept in the Tassliosaal serves the wedding at Candellight as well as conference lighting with media use.
In addition to the design aspect of the wall surfaces, their different structures very effectively take over a large part of the acoustic measures – are beautiful and useful at the same time.
