Designparcours 2008
Temporary parlor with cultural sector in a high-rise building
Munich
2008
A creative city like Munich is home to countless colorful people, longing for design. Their area of presentation is barely noticeable. For years, the designparcours has been the ideal platform for making this wonderful seen. Unfortunately, the last curtain call was in 2008 – with a theme which will be aging with us: generations.
As a creative caption of our contribution we picked the concept of “swinging“, which accompanies people of all ages. Starting with the cradled infant, up to the old man sitting in his rocking chair. A nice metaphor, a fitting connection between young and old.
In the former heating plant at Müllerstraße a swinging parlor with a cafe and cultural set up, along with a modulated section and equipped with different creative installations as well as performances: DJ Hell chatted with Martin Fengel about big cars and film rolls in cameras, a student band rocked the hall to the furthest corner of the room. A come-together fit for all ages.
