Material, Farb- und Lichtkonzept für eine „alte neue Dame“

Das Maxim Kino in München war schon immer eine besondere Nummer. Nach einem Pächterwechsel wurde das alte Fräulein runderneuert. Aus der alten Maxim wurde die neue Miss Maxim, die ihre Herkunft nicht verleugnet, auch nicht das extrem begrenzte Budget, mit dem der Facelift umgesetzt werden musste. Wenn wir kein Geld zum Bauen und Ausbauen haben, müssen wir auf andere Akzente setzen und mit Farbe arbeiten. Und zwar nicht zu knapp. Eigentlich wurde das Kino um die alten neuen Sessel herum in verschiedene Farbtöpfe getaucht und ein Deckenfresko im Jugendstil machte noch Vorgaben. Der Rest ist Mut zur Farbe, Mut zum Bestand und Mut zum „Alt schon, aber gut“! Unser Dank an Regine Stoiber (Architektin) und Anne Harder (die eigentliche Miss Maxim) für ihren Mut und ihr Farbvertrauen!

The Maxim cinema in Munich has always been special. After the tenant changed, the old Miss got a makeover. The old Maxim became the new Miss Maxim, who doesn’t deny her roots, nor the extremely limited budget with which the facelift had to be implemented. If we don’t have money to do construction and to expand we need to count on highlights and work with color. And not too little. The cinema was actually dipped in different paint pots around the old new seats and a ceiling fresco in the style of art nouveau made some specifications. The rest consists of courage in color, courage with existing buildings and courage to say ’yes old, but good’! We thank Regine Stoiber (architect) and Anne Harder (the actual Miss Maxim) for their courage and trust in color!
